Between a single transfer and a monthly block
Some work is too long for a string of one-way transfers and too short for a reserved month. A chief executive in town for four days of investor meetings, a production unit filming for a fortnight, a family visiting for a wedding week, a delegation attending a summit: each needs the same chauffeur every morning and a car that waits, but only for a while.
Short-term hire is booked by the hour or by the 10-hour day for as many consecutive or separate days as the job needs. The chauffeur and the vehicle are assigned for the whole engagement, so the person who collected you from the airport on Monday is the one who drives you back on Friday.
Short-term hire is also the simplest way to find out whether a reserved chauffeur suits you. Many monthly and yearly clients began with a single week, kept the chauffeur they liked, and moved to a block once the pattern of use was clear.
Short-term rates
Rates are the network’s standard hourly prices in US dollars, all-in with taxes and a 20% gratuity. Each day includes 93 miles; extra miles are $3 in a Business sedan, $4 in an SUV and $8 in a first-class sedan. Tolls, parking and Wi-Fi in the car are charged at cost. Overtime is fine: if the dinner runs late, the extra time is billed at the same hourly rate.

Typical short-term engagements
- Visiting executives and board members, collected at the aircraft or the arrivals hall and kept on call between meetings
- Investor and deal roadshows running several cities, with a member operator briefed in each one
- Film, television and advertising shoots, scheduled to the call sheet and re-timed each night
- Summits, trade fairs and congress weeks, when a city’s vehicles are booked out months in advance
- Weddings and family occasions spread over several days of guests, rehearsals and receptions
- Medical visits and recovery stays where a patient and family need a dependable car every day (non-emergency)
Leaving the city during the hire
A day trip to a vineyard, a site visit two hours away or a drive to the next city on a roadshow is billed at 50% above the in-city rate for the hours out of town. When an overnight is needed, the chauffeur’s hotel is added, together with a flat $100 travel allowance. The same rule applies if our chauffeur is driving your own vehicle.
Where the itinerary crosses a border, the desk confirms that the operator holds the permits and insurance for the destination, or arranges a handover to a member operator on the other side under one reservation.
Booking a short-term chauffeur
Give the desk the city, the dates, the vehicle class and a rough outline of each day. The operator assigns a named chauffeur, the desk confirms the vehicle and the chauffeur’s mobile number in writing, and the first day’s timings are agreed the evening before. You can book through the online reservation form above, by phone at any hour, or by WhatsApp.
The network’s cancellation policy for the vehicle class applies to short-term hire unless your written confirmation says otherwise; read it on the cancellation policy page before you book. Engagements that grow into a regular pattern can move to a monthly chauffeur block at the same hourly rates.
Planning around event weeks
A handful of weeks each year empty a city of good vehicles: the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix in May, Art Basel in Basel each June and in Miami Beach each December, the United Nations General Assembly in New York every September, the World Economic Forum in Davos in January, Formula 1 race weekends from Abu Dhabi to Las Vegas, and the major trade fairs in Dubai, Frankfurt, Las Vegas and Milan. Short-term hire for these weeks is booked months in advance by people who have learned the hard way.
If your dates fall in one of them, tell the desk as soon as the trip is likely, even before the details are final. A provisional booking secures a chauffeur and a vehicle class, and the daily plan can be filled in later.
What the chauffeur needs from you
The best short-term engagements start with a short brief: arrival flight numbers, the hotel and the main addresses for each day, the name and mobile number of the person who will change the plan, any accessibility or child-seat needs, and anything the chauffeur should avoid — topics, routes or photographers. The desk turns that into a written plan the chauffeur reads before the first pickup, so the first morning feels like the third.
